Bush Walk and Baby Cow

This evening Pappa took us for a walk in the forest. Bine saw spiders, shy lizards, tall trees, vines, bats hanging under giant palmetto leaves, romantic beetles and busy leaf-cutter ants.

Then we drove by the stables to see the baby cow. Wednesday we were visiting and Bine saw it relieving itself. She's been obsessed with the idea ever since. "Baby cow make a pee pee. Yeah." Unfortunately today she didn't get a repeat performance. On our walk up to play school Thursday Bine was recounting everyone and thing that goes pee pee. "Ella pee pees, Pussen Pee pees, horthees (horsies) pee pee, Mamma pee pees..."
That's right, Bine.

Also at play school this week she really knocked my socks off. We sing a song about the days of the week and then ask if anyone knows what day it is. Thursday there was no reply. Nicole said, "Yesterday was Wednesday." I said, "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday..." Silence. And then little Bine piped up, "THURSDAY!" Wow.

You shouldn't be amazed. You have given her the gift of language and thought. You are wonderful parents!
