Utila-Style Well-Baby Exam

Sweet Angus turned two weeks old on Friday, so it was time for his first weigh-in at Bush Supermarket. According to Mrs. Bush, every baby on the island has been put on that scale. At birth we were told our son weighed around 8 1/2 pounds, but, after his length was so flagrantly mis-measured in the hospital, we weren't sure what to think about other given statistics. At Bush Supermarket he hit the 10 1/4 pounds mark. No one could believe he was only fourteen days old.
We're also still trying to figure out who he looks like. It seems he may get my blue eyes but we thought the same about Bine at first. Sometimes he resembles his sister (especially when he's sleeping) but most of the time he's just Gus. At one point in the hospital, as we were soaking up the fresh-baked deliciousness of our newest family member and pondering his features, I asked John Arne if he cheated on me.

Here is a snippet of the weighing, complete with excellent Utilian dialect:
("That is some size beh-beh!")
("That is some size beh-beh!")

Zeljka, farfar and farmor think that Angus is such a big and beutiful boy.
We are sure that he is getting enough supermilk!!
We also very much liked to see the pictures of the rest of the family.
