This Week at the Cay House

First up, Bine news.

She tried out the sunglasses she got from Camilla and family. (Onesie courtesy of Aunt Katie.)

She started reading photography magazines in the hammock with pappa.

She got to know her new friend Tigger, a gift from my Forever Neighbor, Jeff.

She began foaming at the mouth.

Ella had a massive haircut. We borrowed the professional dog clippers from Loretta and Roger, the vets, in an attempt to win at least one battle in the war on ticks. (While we were away, Tami and Toller were full-time tick fighters.) It is also a good way to keep her from mildewing, since little totally dries this time of year. Finally, it just feels good. A thick, black coat of fur isn't ideal in the tropics. The moment it was removed she began prancing around like a little fawn. A little fawn with a disproportionately large head.

One before and two after shots:

And then there was progress in the kitchen. With the help of Luis and Moncho the house repairs are back in full swing. Here are JA and Luis installing the new windows in the kitchen-to-be.
